By the way - ice age was made by a company formed by some graduates from the program I am in. the opening sequence to the movie was their graduate project

but im wandering (im in the middle of class and my prof is boring) so yes thats really cool that u chose my piece - and i wanna see what u wrote!!

I have problems with authority
'The way the elements fit together in this picture - the boy is out of focus, however, this fits in with the detailed focus of the cigarette well because it shows meaning and the hand outstretched for the fag [I can't believe i wrote that] has been planned to the elements fit well. The shape of this picture is based around the cigarette and the shapes within that. The lighting has affected the photograph because we see more detail with the cigarette and more of the shape around it.
The details are within the cigarette itself - the end has been exposed particularly well, and so has the paper in which the tobacco has been rolled within. The colour contributes to the photograph as it adds an eerie atmoshphere, and the pose of the subject also adds to the ambience as it creates more depth.
Because of the depth and evading atmosphere captured in this photograph, there are many responses to this piece, which makes it even more of a powerful concept. It seems that the concept behind this piece is how giving up is so dark, and can even be interpreted to more than just that, such as sub-cultures and the downfall of certain fashions, or can even represent growing up and abandonment.
I chose to analyse this photograph because of the clear focus and the ambience of the piece - one which concentrates on detail and feeling, which I would like to capture in my own work (and final idea) for this project.'

And the Careless piece was class, I actually got told off for using more contemporary pieces to analyse in my art class - but when i did some analysing on your photograph (i put the link in to your piece because stealing/copying and printing is just naughty without permission - and i was shy so i thought id just stick a link in so my art teacher could view it, but [sidetracking now]), I got an A for it, so yeah!! i wanna see new things from you mister!!
